Tung Chi College ft. Joana Cambeses
Tung Chi College, on Ship St in Wanchai is on a site earmarked for redevelopment. The remains of
the old college feature some beautiful Wall Trees. Civil Engineers deployed these trees over a century ago
to strengthen the walls with their roots; it’s a wonderful example of Man and Nature co-existing in harmony.
Joana Cambeses is an aerialist whose long silk trails resemble the lines
of the tree roots as she emerges from the belly of the building.
